Your Guide To Convert MP3 Format To CD Format

By Susan Reynolds

MP3 files are the compressed WAV files. In other words, the high quality Wav files are reduced in size to create the MP3 format. MP3 files have some very interesting advantages to them, such as the small size and portability. It is possible to store over a hundred MP3 files into one CD ROM. The music quality is also kept intact. Although the MP3 files have so much on offer, you may still need to convert the MP3 files back to CD format. This is because many CD players do not identify the MP3 format, and hence do not play it. Most car CD players fail to play the MP3 format.

MP3 files are actually the data files that can be played on a computer with utmost ease. Converting the MP3 files back into the CD format would require you to have a decoder. The decoding utility makes it possible to convert the MP3 files into the wav files.

If you ever installed a CD writer into your computer, you should find an application utility that burns the CD. In case you do not find the CD, you may locate the set up for the same in the CD that came along with your CD writer. The utility should be named "CD burner? or something similar. It is extremely easy to do the conversion with this utility. The user interface of different utilities is bound to be different. However, the following steps would be more or less similar for most utilities.

Any utility would give you a few options to start with, namely data, audio, photo and video, backup, favorites, and extras. You need to click on the option that says "Audio?, "Burn a music CD? or something similar to it. A click on this option would open up another dialog box that has an empty panel and probably a button that says "Add?, "Browse? etc. Once you have located one such button, you may click it, and the same would let you browse the MP3 files for conversion. Every file added to the panel will convert the file into the CD format. An indicator will keep you informed about the remaining space on the CD. The indicator could be a progress bar or something else.

You may click the "Next? button available on the window. This will open up another window that prompts you for some more detail, such as the CD title and artist name. Once you have filled up the details you can click on the "Burn? or "Next? option given to you. This will initiate the burn process. It could take a few minutes for the burn process to complete. Once the burn process is completed, the utility will come up with an alert box to let you know the same.

With the above process, you will have completed your MP3 conversion to CD format. If you do not have a CD writer or the utility on you PC; you may look for a decoder on the internet and download it. Any decoder would also function on the similar lines. - 18418
