One of Jackie's better later films, set in Melbourne and, like most of his best films, an action comedy. Shimmering and arousing fights abound, the best and funniest orchestrated at a construction site. Cast includes Jackie Chan, Richard Norton, Miki Lee, Karen McLymont, Gamelle Fitzpatrick, and Vince Poletto. (113 minutes, 1997)
Cursed: The film starts out entertaining however eventually becomes ridiculous as the nubile young sufferers fight back to become human once more. The bite of the werewolf has left them stricken. Cast includes Christina Ricci, Portia de Rossi, Mya, Shannon Elizabeth, Solar, Daniel Edward Mora, Jesse Eisenberg, and Joshua Jackson. (97 minutes, 2005)

Nuke's hopes and dreams are all in front of him, while Crash, who is helping Nuke learn the game, sees his career as a baseball player coming to an end.
Friday Night Lights: High school football in Dillon Texas is as big as anything gets. When Eric Taylor comes in to coach the Panthers, the expectations are high. This movie shows the intense pressure and huge hopes the town puts on its team.
Prospero's Books: At first challenging although unsatisfactory adaptation of Shakespeare's The Tempest, with most of the dialog mentioned by 87-year-old Gielgud (in the role of Prospero); the other performers are little more than an add on, and there's a mind boggling amount of nudity. The film is stuffed with shocking, layered imagery, attractive production layout and cinematography. Pleasure can rely on your patience for Greenaway's approach to the material. Cast includes John Gielgud, Michael Clark, Michel Blanc, Isabelle Pasco, and Tom Bell. (129 minutes, 1991)
From the earth to The Moon: Jules Verne's fiction doesn't hover well in contrived sci-fi of early rocket flight to the moon. The cast looks mostly agitated. Cast includes Joseph Cotten, George Sanders, Debra Paget, Don Dubbins, Patric Knowles, and Henry Daniel. (100 minutes, 1958)
Disturbia: Kale has had his life turned upside down. His father's death, which he feel responsible for has traumatized him badly. Snapping on an insensitive teacher, he punches the guy out. Instead of jail time he must serve a period of house confinement. Going stir crazy stuck at home, Kale, and his girlfriend Ashley, start spying on the neighbors. This voyeurism gets serious when they start to suspect that one of the neighbors is a serial killer.
