Cast includes James Spader, Cynthia Gibb, Pole Loomis, Rex Ryon, Robert Picardo, Chris Mulkey, and Dauitza Kingsley. (97 minutes, 1988)
Malcolm X: This movie chronicles the life African America leader Malcolm X. He was a controversial leader of the black movement in the 1950's and 1960's. He became a Muslim, and then a Muslim leader. He was eventually assassinated in New York in 1965.
The Hills Have Eyes: Common American family on a camping trip is pestered by brute, cannibalistic mutants. The film is above better than most like it, with compact direction and lots of entertaining twists and turns. An Incredibly gory film that has possessed a cult following. Cast includes Susan Lanier, Robert Houston, Virginia Vincent, Russ Mourn, Dee Wallace, Martin Speer, and Michael Berryman. (89 minutes, 1977)
Flatliners: A group of five medical students start imagining experiencing life after death. One by one, under controlled conditions, they die, and then bring themselves back to life. No one is prepared for the side effects the experience causes them all.
The All-American Boy: Jumbled drama in reference to Olympic optimistic Voight's effort to be a successful boxer; striking locations of northern California, but that's all. Cast includes Jon Voight, Ned Glass, Anne Archer, and Carol Androsky. (104 minutes, 1989)
The Barretts of Wimpole Street: Handsome, well-performed, and most amusing MGM production of classic romance between Elizabeth Barrett and Robert Browning in 19th century England.
