Quality Outlines Of A Varied Collection Of Silver Screen Movies

By Bobbie Fisher

The following paragraphs contain some nice movie reviews. If you are looking for a movie download site here are some phrases to search. You should have good luck with a search like "DVD Rental Services"; if not then try "Unlimited DVD Rentals" and "Online Movies To Watch".

Rich in Love: The individuals behind Driving Miss Daisy have taken Josephine Humphreys' novel and tried to knit another evocative Southern story but they don't really triumph, although there are numerous fine scenes. The film is based on a child trying to keep her family together. Amid the members are her idle dad (another awesome Finney depiction), missing mom, and nutty sibling. Cast includes Albert Finney, Jill Clayburgh, Kathryn Erbe, Kyle MacLachlan, Piper Laurie, Ethan Hawke, Suzy Amis, and Alfie Woodard. (105 minutes, 1993)

Digby the Biggest in the World: Meager comedy fantasy regarding fluid Venture X, which causes sheepdog Digby to grow to large scales. Poor visual effects, too. Cast includes Jim Dale, Spike Milligan, Milo O'Shea, Angela Douglas, and Norman Rossington. (88 minutes, 1974)

Red: The last film in Kieslowski's "3 Colors" trilogy which, like Blue and White, might stand alone with its self contained tale. Fashion model Jacob meets upset, retired judge Trintignant accidentally, then creates a relationship with him and enters his cloistered, secret life. Set in Geneva, this is a story of a few entangled lives. Cast includes Irene Jacob, Jean-Louis Trintignant, Frederique Feder, Jean-Pierre Lorit, Juliette Binoche, Julie Delpy, and Benoit Regent. (99 minutes, 1994)

Heart like a Wheel: A well made yet curiously uninspiring bio of race-car driver Shirley Muldowney. Cast includes Bonnie Bedelia, Leo Rossi, Hoyt Axton, Bill McKinney, Anthony Edwards, Dean Paul Martin, Paul Bartel, Dick Miller, and Terence Knox. (113 minutes, 1983)

Sidewalk Stories: Alluring, Chaplinesque fantasy that, in its own humble way, boldly remarks on the plight of the destitute in America. Lane stars as a destitute gentleman battling for existence on the roads of Greenwich Village who finds himself caring for a small child whose father has been stabbed by robbers. Cast includes Charles Lane, Nicole Alysia, Sandye Wilson, Darnell Williams, and Trula Hoosier. (97 minutes, 1989)

The Great Moment: This perplexing biography of an anesthesia pioneer wavers from comedy to drama. The film is uselessly filled with aggravating flashbacks. Cast includes Joel McCrea, Harry Carey, William Demarest, Franklin Pangborn, Gmdy Sullon, and Louis Jean Heydt. (83 minutes, 1944)

Ju-on The Grudge: The ghosts of a violently killed mom and her child vengefully terrorize and murder a succession of individuals who have a connection with the humble Tokyo home where the murders took place. Not a tale as such, rather a succession of eerie scenes, some quietly scary, others outright horrifying. Cast includes Megumi Okina, Misaki Ito, Misa Uehara, Yui Ichikawa, Kanji Tsuda, Takako Fuji, Kayoko Shibata, Yukako Kukuri, Takashi Matsuyama, and Yuya Ozeki. (92 minutes, 2003)

Belle of the Yukon: A little musical of bar owner Scott going straight at request of his gal (Lee). The film is fast paced but very forgettable. Cast includes Randolph -Scott, Gypsy Rose Lee, Bob Burns, Dinah Beach, Charles Winninger, William Marshall, Guinn "Gigantic - Boy" Williams, and Robert Armstrong, (84 minutes, 1944)

The Forgiven Sinner: Belmondo gives restrained, eccentric acting job as clergyman trying to set gloomy lady onto the road of righteousness. Cast includes Lee Van Cleef, Warren Oates, Forrest Tucker, Kerwin Mathews, and Mariette Hartley. Cast includes Jean-Paul Belmondo, Emmanuele Riva, Patricia Gozzi, and Irene Tunc. (101 minutes, 1961)

Maybe you found a new movie to watch from this list. don't forget, search with terms like "DVD Movies Downloads" and "Hollywood Movie Rentals" to find download sites. If neither of those work use "Best Music Download Services". - 18418
