Find out how to Make Beats

By Mick LLaleBeoufey

So you make pop, dance, RB, rap, hip-hop, house or any other beats, but for some reason your drums don't hit as hard as commercially released music and your tunes are not piercing thru the speakers like you want them to. This article will outline three straightforward tips may help you perfect craft and get you on the right path to success.

1. keep it simplistic foolish - I know you have heard this phrase before, but it's the truth. A good piece of music is commonly straightforward and layered with other simple elements, so making a cohesive and concentrated piece of music with many elements. The complexity of your music will naturally progress as you keep practicing and perfecting your style.

2. Learn Your Tools - Many producers have the myth of thinking that having the newest gear and music production software makes you a better producer. This is completely wrong. A classic example would be the hip-hop group Dem Franchize Boyz song "Lean Wit' It" which was made employing a $50 music production program and generated millions of dollars in sales.

Remember, there are plenty of hideous producers out there with $10000 worth or more of equipment. The main point being, that its how you use your music production tools and master them, instead of the tools you have!

3. Practice, Read, Research, Interact, Repeat - there are lots of resources out there online, whether it's music production forums or general music forums. Asking folk on feedback and tips is a good way to both learn and motive yourself. You will become a better producer due to the sheer competition on such forums and the knowledge that they'll bounce off one another.

In summing up, don't fall into the booby trap of thinking that your appliances, knowledge or skills aren't good enough. Just keep creating music and you will naturally progress into the producer you always wanted to be, it doesn't happen overnight so try hard, and work smart.
