See A Great Movie Tonight, Check Out These Good Movie Possibilities

By Addie Moss

Good information about a few of the most magnificent films that you may have never heard of is right here. Take pleasure in this list of movies that are "oldies but goodies". Take into account that you can download any of them you prefer directly to your own computer in the comfort of your own residence.

Night of the Blood Monster - Lee is exceptional as Magistrate Jeffrey's who is a vicious judge presiding over "Bloody Assizes" after the Monmouth Revolt contrary to Baron James II, although the movie itself is monotonous and ghastly. Cast includes Christopher Lee, Maria Schell, Leo Genn, Maria Rohm, and Margaret Lee. (84 minutes, 1970)

Dillinger - Dim gangster movie written by Philip Jordan, one of the best B films of its class although a key bank robbery is made up of stock recording lifted from Fritz Lang's You Only Live Once. Cast includes Edmund Lowe, Anne Jeffreys, Lawrence Tierney, Eduardo Ciannelli, Elisha Cook, and Marc Lawrence. (70 minutes, 1945)

Night Nurse - Extraordinary, hard story of nurse (Stanwyck) who could not forget about unusual goings on in home where she works. Blondell adds zingy support and it is one of Gable's most remarkable early appearances. Cast includes Barbara Stanwyck, Ben Lyon, Joan Blondell, Clark Gable, Charlotte Merriam, and Charles Winninger.

Gun the Man Down - Injured outlaw vows vengeance on partners who left him in the middle of a stickup gone badly. Cast includes James Arness, Angie Dickinson, Robert Wilke, and Emile Meyer. (78 minutes, 1956)

Sawdust and Tinsel - Kindles soar in this stunning, metaphorical motion picture set in a small-time carnival and focusing on the relation between carnival owner Gronberg and his oversexed mistress (Andersson). Cast includes Harriet Andersson, Ake Gronberg, Anders Ek, Gudrun Brost, Hasse Ekman, and Annika Tretow. (92 minutes, 1953)

Down to You - Prinze and Stiles unsuccessfully try to buddy us up by talking straight into the camcorder, clarifying how their once pleasant college romance went bust (albeit not as bust as the film). In someway, this movie manages to find room for subplots in reference to a Television show and a friend who has a try as an adult-film entrepreneur with a sort of bohemian experienced porn actress. Cast includes Freddie Prinze, Jr., Julia Stiles, Shawn Hatosy, Selma Blair, Zak Orth, Ashton Kutcher, Rosario Dawson, Henry Winkler, and Lucie Amaz. (91 minutes, 2000)

The Manchurian Candidate - A contemporary day adaptation of the 1962 motion picture. Decorated war hero Raymond Shaw is now positioned to become the Vice President of the US. His Mother, Senator Eleanor Shaw is pulling all the political strings. A problem is developing for her plans. Major Bennett Marco, a member of Raymond's platoon is beginning to doubt the events of the day Raymond saved the platoon. Marco is battling an uphill battle, but cannot defend against the distressing impression that something is not right.

South Sea Women - Dark island tale of love and deception with Cadet Lancaster kindling the fire with Mayo. Cast includes Burt Lancaster, Virginia Mayo, Chuck Connors, Arthur Guards, and Paul Burke. (99 minutes, 1953)

So whether you know it or not, when you sit down and slow down and observe a good motion picture you are doing yourself a good turn. You are permitting yourself to unwind and dream, flee your own tribulations and have the benefit of some peaceable downtime and you are also learning more about other people and the world we all live in. It is no wonder that films are almost everybody's favorite source of entertainment. - 18418
