Get Ready for Xbox's Mass Effect
Xbox 360 had its first incarnation of Mass Effect in 2007, said to be the best of its kind in games' history, and when players finished this game, they wanted to keep going. This particular game had a great ending, and it also had some of the best characters most of us who played Mass Effect had ever seen. They were multidimensional, and were so real that they stayed in your mind long after the game was complete. Games like Mass Effect have in fact put Xbox 360 firmly in the lead as far as sales went, and Mass Effect earned a lot of money for Bioware.
If you have played this game on Xbox in recent days, then you probably still have the game saved. If you played it when it was first out, and you deleted the game even though you loved it, you might be sorry to hear that you'll be missing out on a very big plus for you.
To those that still have the first Mass Effect saved file, hang on to it until early next year when Mass Effect 2 is released for the Xbox 360. Mass Effect 2 will import your Mass Effect character saved game and you will start Mass Effect 2 at the same point you finished the first Mass Effect.
However, that's not all the good news. What's really good about this is that the moral standing of your character and the choices made in the first Mass Effect game goes right on into the second game. These choices also affect your second game, and if you save your file, you'll basically have one long unbroken experience that seamlessly transitions into the next level.
Imagine when the credits rolled at the end of the first Mass Effect, and the second game kicks off. Many fans have come across the Mass Effect 2 teaser trailer. On the trailer the camera pans over a familiar armor suit. As the camera nears the chest area, we make out N7 on the suit, and then we finally realize that the suit belongs to the main character, Shepherd.
We lose our anticipation when we realize that the suit is worn by a Geth soldier and it flashes on the screen that Shepherd was killed-in-action. There were exaggerations of Shepherd's death, and you would be happy to know that he is back in Mass Effect 2 and this time he faces a whole new threat.
There are a few things that you need to know about Mass Effect 2. We all know about the multiple endings in first Mass Effect. Mass Effect 2 has its share of multiple endings, too. Your primary mission is a suicide mission, and you are warned about this at the beginning of the game. Shepherd knows this and so does this team.
You and your team can live or die. This depends on what you decide throughout the game, and ultimately you'll decide your own outcome. However, if your character does die in this latest Mass Effect, the second, rest assured that you can return in the third installment, Mass Effect 3. - 18418
