In the past you had to go to a store if you wanted to rent or buy a movie. The next generation it seems will be getting their movies from movie downloads, avoiding any trips to the store. Let's look at what you might find to watch using a movie download site.

Fantastic Invasion of The Planet Earth: Discharged theatrically in 3-D, this movie was pretty much a disaster. A young couple finds themselves caught in a deserted town encircled in a mammoth bubble. The original title, The Bubble, was far less deceiving: there are no foreigners and no "invasion" in fact, and not much enthusiasm, either. Cast includes Filmed in widescreen Space-Vision. Wall-E: This is an animation sci-fi comedy adventure. Wall-E is a robot left on Earth for 100's of years, since the planet became uninhabitable. He just goes on cleaning the planet, as he was designed to do. When a search robot named Eve arrives, his whole reason for existing changes.

Toy Story: A boy's top choice toy, a doll named Woody, feels bullied and properly so by the emergence of a new toy, a high-tech spaceman model promoted on Television. An adult story masquerading as a kids film, this tale of kinship, fickleness, and the need for acceptance has a vibrant cast of characters led by Woody and his adversary, Thrill Light-year. Their facial proclamations and body language is as excellent as anything ever seen in a conventional animation. Cast includes Tim Allen, Don Rickles, Jim Varney, Wallace Shawn, John Ratzenberger, Annie Potts, Laurie Metcalf, and R. Lee Ermey. (80 minutes, 1995)

Snake Eyes: When the Secretary of Defense is assassinated while a big heavy fight at an Atlantic City casino is going on, pandemonium breaks out. Local cop Rick Santoro finds himself right in the middle of the mess. The doors are locked and everyone is kept inside the building as they try to quickly solve the crime.

Commando: Here's an extremely loud comic magazine flick in reference to a retired special ops man (Schwarzenegger), who's made to go back in time when vengeful goons abduct his child. Cast includes Arnold Schwarzenegger, Rae Daybreak Chong, Dan Hedaya, Vernon Wells, David Patrick Kelly, and Alyssa Milano. (88 minutes, 1985)

In Enemy Country: So-so WW2 story, set in France and England, filmed on a back-lot. Not extremely persuading. Cast includes Tony Franciosa, Anjanette Comer, Man Stockwell, Paul Hubschmid, Tom Bell, and Emile Genest. (107 minutes, 1968)

The Eel: A businessman viciously kills his spouse after finding that she has been cheating on him. 8 years later, he is paroled from penitentiary, and can only connect to his pet eel, since it cannot betray him. Then he saves a female who has tried suicide after a poor relationship. Cast Koji Yakusho, Misa Shimizu, Fujio Tsuneta, Mitsuko Baisho, Akira Emoto, Sho Aikawa, and Ken Kobayashi. (117 minutes, 1977)

Sensations of 1945: The fame hungry Powell shows journalist O'Keefe how to become successful in this campy musical. One marvelous number has her tap dancing inside a mammoth pinball game. Cast includes Eleanor Powell, Dennis O'Keefe, C. Aubrey Smith, Eugene Pallette, W. C. Territories, Cab Calloway, and Sophie Tucker. (86 minutes, 1945)

A Life less Ordinary: This is a black comedy in regards to a janitor who abducts his ex-supervisor's little girl, a ruined heiress who finds life a bore. In the mean time, 2 ambassadors from heaven (Hunter and Lindo) have to find a way to make these 2 fated souls fall in love. Cast includes Ewan McGregor, Cameron Diaz, Holly Hunter, Delroy Lindo, Ian Holm, Ian McNeice, Stanley Tucci, Dan Hedaya, Tony Shalhoub, Maury Chaykin, and Judith Ivey. (103 minutes, 1997)

Hail Mary: An uninteresting, overblown updating of the tale of Christ's birth, with Mary a student basketball competitor! Even though still a virgin, she finds herself pregnant. This film kindled much dissension and was even condemned by the Pope. Cast includes Myriem Roussel, Thierry Rode, Philippe Lacoste, Manon Anderson, and Juliette Binoche. (107minutes, 1985)

Alfredo Alfredo: An all too normal Italian comedy in regards to a milquetoast who triumphs and weds a seductive female, only to regret the conquest. The lone interest is recognizing Hoffman's good work in this uncommon setting (with a dubbed voice!). Cast includes Dustin Hoffman, Stefania Sandrelli, Carla Gravina, Clara Colosimo, Daniele Patella, and Duilio Del Prete. (98 minutes, 1972)

Laws of Attraction: N.Y.C. divorce attorney Moore has never lost a case but meets her match in cunning adversary Brosnan, who additionally manages to get her to let her guard down. This romantic comedy never gets on point, however showcases Brosnan's laidback charm and gives Moore a rare comedic role. Cast includes Pierce Brosnan, Julianne Moore, Frances Fisher, Parker Posey, Michael Sheen, Nora Dunn, and David Kelly. (90 minutes, 2004)

The Stalking Moon: An army scout helps a white female who has lived with the Apaches flee from the Indians with her half breed child. Then the boy's Indian dad comes after them. The film is a convincing and fascinating Western that is both smooth and boring. Cast includes Gregory Peck, Eva Marie Savior, Robert Forster, Noland Clay, Russell Thorson, and Frank Silvera. MacArthur: An intense look at the legend of the elaborate military chief throughout WW2 and the Korean War. Peck is phenomenal although the film doesn't hold the punch of Patton. Cast includes Gregory Peck, Dan O'Herlihy, Ed Flanders, Sandy Kenyon, Dick O'Neill, and Craft Fleming. (130 minutes, 1977)

The Poker House - Actress-turned-director Lori Petty makes her feature directorial debut with this period drama set in 1976 and exploring a typical day in the life of a decidedly atypical teen named Agnes. Some folks have the luxury of living each day to the fullest, but for Agnes every day is a grueling struggle for survival; her mother is strung-out on drugs, her home has been overrun by degenerates, and her only father figure is a pimp. For Agnes and her two younger sisters this particular day will be marked by both tragedy and triumph, but which will resonate most in the days and weeks to follow? My One and Only - A 1950s-set comedy in which the glamorous Anne Deveraux (Zellweger) embarks on a drive down the Eastern Seaboard in a quixotic search for a wealthy man to fund a new life for her and her sons. (2009)

Adoration - For his French-class assignment, a high school student weaves his family history in a news story involving terrorism, and goes on to invite an Internet audience in on the resulting controversy. (2008)

The Sinister Urge - Dedicated cops Duncan and Moore set out to beat the "smut film racket," which is run by a gaudy blonde. The Big Shakedown: Inconsequential story where we see Davis deny spouse Farrell while he joins mobster Cortez in counterfeiting cosmetics and other products, often with dire consequences to the buyers. I Love You: A stupid, pretentiously arty journal of the relationship between Braga and Pereio, each of whom tries to exploit the other. Sonia, nonetheless, is pleasant to check out. Cast includes Sonia Braga, Paulo Cesar Pereio, Vera Fischer, Tarcisio Meira, Maria Lucia Dahl, and Regina Case. (104 minutes, 1981)

Cuban Rebel Girls: This is Flynn's last film, and is an embarrassment. Playing himself, he assists Fidel Castro in his overthrow of Batista. The film is filmed on location throughout the Castro rebellion. Of interest only to see Flynn teamed with his very last lady friend, sixteen-year-old Aadland. Cast includes Errol Flynn, Beverly Aadland, John McKay, and Marie Edmund. (68 minutes, 1959)

The Gene Krupa Story: A commonplace rendition of awesome jazz drummer's life, his ups and downs, and his battle with pill dependency Cast includes Don Weis, Sal Mineo, Susan Kohner, James Darren, Susan Oliver, Yvonne Craig, Lawrence Dobkin, Crimson Nichols, and Buddy Lester. (101 minutes, 1959)

Sidewalks of New York: A light hearted comedy in regards to the romantic entanglements of a group of New Yorkers. The film has an unmistakable Woody Allen type feel, although Burns' script is no match for Allen. Red Sonja: A spectacularly stupid sword and magic myth with lady lead, based on mush writings of Robert E. Howard (of Conan popularity). May entertain adolescent watchers, although only point of interest for grownups is choosing who gives the worse acting job, Nielsen or villainess Bergman. Cast includes Brigitte Nielsen, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sandahl Bergman, Paul Smith, Emie Reyes, Jr., Ronald Lacey, and Pat Roach. (89 minutes, 1985)

Killpoint: A boring, one dimensional action film with cop Fong and agent Roundtree on the track of gun runners. This film is action packed and brutally vicious. Cast includes Leo Fong, Richard Roundtree, Cameron Mitchell, Pile Perforate, and Wish Holy day. (89 minutes, 1984)

Rent-a-Kid: While the head of an orphanage takes a holiday, dad Nielsen takes over with a plan to raise money by renting out kids. While unsurprising, this stupid premise is surprisingly effective. Requiem for a Heavyweight: The solemn account of boxer, Quinn, whose ring days are over, pushing him into corruption and degradation. His sleazy supervisor Gleason, understanding teacher Rooney, and Harris as unrealistic city employee are all fine. Cast includes Anthony Quinn, Jackie Gleason, Mickey Rooney, Julie Harris, Nancy Cushman, Madame Spivy, and Cassius Clay (Muhammad Ali). (100 minutes, 1952)

Nutcracker the Motion Picture: Much of this rendition of The Nutcracker, acted by the Pacific Northwest Ballet, is like a music video with rapid cutting and close-ups of legs, faces, and elbows. This is extremely irritating. However the Tchaikovsky music is, obviously, amazing, as are Maurice Sendak's sets and costumes. Cast includes Hugh Bigney, Vanessa Sharp Patricia Barker, Plod Walthall, Russell Burnett, and the voice of Julie Harris. (89 minutes, 1986)

The Happening: A light hearted and light headed caper tale focusing around the abduction of a now honorable used to be gangster (Quinn). This is Dunaway's film debut. The title melody became No. 1 hit for The Supremes. Cast includes Anthony Quinn, George Maharis, Michael Parks, Robert Stroller, Faye Dunaway, Milton Berle, Oscar Homolka, Jack Kruschen, Clifton James, and Eugene Roche. (101 minutes, 1967)

Heart like a Wheel: A well made yet curiously uninspiring bio of race-car driver Shirley Muldowney. Cast includes Bonnie Bedelia, Leo Rossi, Hoyt Axton, Bill McKinney, Anthony Edwards, Dean Paul Martin, Paul Bartel, Dick Miller, and Terence Knox. (113 minutes, 1983)

My Science Project: A laugh less, often tasteless comedy in reference to high school kids who discover an alien gadget that can create a time and space warps.
